49 Years Marine Biology

Hi, I'm Yechiel.

I am a marine biologist, and I've been keeping and working with fish for nearly 50 years.

I created George the Cranky Guppy as a gentle, scientifically grounded series for curious young readers. Every story is warm, readable, and non-scary — perfect for reluctant readers and kids who love animals. Real biology. Genuinely funny.

George the Cranky Guppy

“The Water Has Opinions”

George the guppy has woken up somewhere that is not his tank, soaking in water that tastes wrong. He is not cranky. He is displaced. There is a difference. The first book in the series — funny, warm, and packed with real marine biology for ages 7–10.
